Mirna Wessels

Mirna Wessels is Chief Executive Officer at Spier Arts Trust – an exemplar social enterprise focusing on shared value.

She has worked in various leadership roles, namely Director of Operations at Synovate Market Research (2000-2009) and Managing Director at Conexus CRM, now a division of Ipsos (2009-2011).

After obtaining an MBA at University of Cape Town (2008/2009), she consciously decided to pursue new personal goals.

Against the backdrop of South Africa’s politics of poverty and inequality, Mirna’s interest lies in contributing to social transformation through art and education.

She was elected to the board of Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) in 2018 and currently acts as chairperson of their Audit and Risk Committee.

She is on the board of the AVA Gallery (the oldest not-for-profit gallery in Cape Town) and serves as board member at Kuyasa Foundation NPC since 2021.
