Athenkosi Maqubela

Athenkosi Maqubela is a Cape Town-based aspiring Landscape architect. Athenkosi completed her undergraduate degree in Brand, Building & Management (2014) at Vega, Cape Town. She has experience across disciples through engagement in the film, music and design industries in South Africa. She completed her honours in Landscape Architecture (2020) at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is currently working on her Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA).

Athenkosi is interested in South African social dynamics, visual and audio aesthetics of geopolitics and the built natural environments within urban settings. This interest is the driving force behind her work at SEA where she assists students and staff in creating the best environment for creative yet structured and constructive learning.
