
Katie Irvine
Academic Fellow : Mapping
Katie Irvine graduated with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree with distinction from UCT in 2005 and a Graduate Diploma in Architecture from the Bartlett School, University College London in 2008 in Unit 17 under RIBA award winning architects Niall Mclaughlin and Yeoryia Manolopoulou.
She also has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Civil Engineering from UCT awarded with First Class Honours in 2001. She has worked extensively with Vernon Collis and Associates for more than 15 years and has taught at UCT in the Third Year design studio and assisted in the Civil Engineering Fourth Year design project.
She has a keen interest in mapping the interaction between human experience, sustainability and engineering systems to generate emergent form in architecture.
